TDD with AI is more engineering, not less
Today I learned,
TDD with AI looks like just two things used together. It’s actually a new bar. Without tests, you just trust whatever AI gives you. With tests, you give AI a contract to satisfy. The catch is, writing that contract means knowing what “correct” looks like, and that’s the hard part. The bar didn’t shift because AI is sloppy. It shifted because AI is fast. When writing code becomes cheap, the bottleneck moves to knowing exactly what you want. That turns out to be much harder than it looks. More engineering, not less.
